hi please can you tell me if I can use fresh cream in a battenburg cake insted of marzipan or if i use marzipan can i put butter icing on top of it or can i do decoration with butter icing. thank you.
Since the yellow and pink cake are almond and rose flavored sponge, I don’t think you will like the results if you substitute ingredients. If you don’t like much almond flavoring, you could decorate with butter icing instead of marzipan. However, I don’t recommend any changes to the recipe. Thank you for your comments!
