i HAVE RECENTLY INHERITED A SAUCER SIMILAR TO THIS. iT WAS FROM MY GREAT GREAT GRANDMOTHER AND i AM 33. THE BACK OF THE SAUCER IS MARKED IN JAPANESE AND THEN HAS MIKADO HAND PAINTED. LET ME KNOW IF YOU FIND ANYTHING OUT. THEY ARE NOT EXACT BUT THE GOLD PATTERN AND ROSES ARE THE SAME
Thank you for sharing about your great grandmother’s saucer. We’re sure it is equally as lovely as our hand painted tea cup. We know these tea cups were from Japan with several pattern variations using the roses and gold. Your tea cup is the first we’ve come across with any kind of mark on the back. If we discover more information, we’ll post it in comments for you. Please feel free to send us a picture of your saucer and the mark. We’d love to see it!
